INDIA-SRF Limited, supplier for specialty chemicals, engineering plastics and packaging films, is setting up a new BOPET plant in India. Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik will deliver four machines to SRF for this green field project.
Beside one new Imperial non-stop winder Kampf will deliver three slitters: one Universal slitter for material widths up to 8700 mm (342”), and two Unislit II slitters for materials widths up to 3050 mm (120”). Installation and commissioning of the machines in Indore, Madya Pradesh is planned for the final quarter of 2016.
The new plant will produce up to 30,000 tons of BOPET film per year; the capacity for metallized film is set to be 8000 tons per year. More than 60% of the proposed project output of flexible packaging will be used in the food packaging and beverages industries.
